The 8th AAMA Conference will be held in Monrovia, Liberia from September 30 to October 3, 2025, bringing together maritime leaders and stakeholders to address key challenges in Africa’s maritime sector and drive strategic, action-focused solutions.

With the theme “Safeguarding Our Ocean, Promoting Decarbonization in Shipping, Exploring Africa’s Blue Economy Potential,” the conference aligns with the IMO’s 2025 focus and Africa’s long-term maritime vision under the AIMS 2050 framework. The event aims to go beyond presentations by fostering working group sessions, knowledge-sharing, and concrete roadmaps to advance maritime safety, security, environmental protection, capacity development, trade facilitation, and financing mechanisms across the continent’s blue economy.
